My favorite holiday decoration is the Christmas stocking my grandmother hand made for all of the grandchildren. It’s from one of those kits that are both cute and over the top sparkly but I love that she made each one by hand…a true labor of love and is a way to keep her with me each year as I hang them up. Happy Holidays!!!!

My favorite ornament would be the Christmas bell my oldest daughter made out of dough. It has her picture in it and weighs a ton so we have to put it towards the middle of the tree. She is 33 now and she made it when she was in 3rd grade. I don’t know how much longer it is going to last, but as long as it’s still doing good, it’s going on the tree.

My favorite ornament is of an angel from Precious Moments. I have several Precious Moments ornaments. They’re a little pricey, but so cute. I also have some wooden ornaments from when I was a child, but I threw most of them away when we moved. I wish I had kept all of them.

My favorite ornaments are all the ones that have our name or that we made as kids, but I really love white lights as a decoration or the fake candles you put in the window.

My favorite ornament? It’s a little fuzzy lamb that I got in preschool – yes, I still have it. Its body is cottony, and it has a black felt face and legs – a tiny red bow and tiny bell around its neck. :)
Otherwise, I like decorations on stairwells. Lights, tinsel – it’s just so happy.

My favorite ornament is a pretzel wreath I made for my parents as a kid. It was one of the first craft projects I did (almost) all by myself, and I spent a long time gluing, tying ribbons and bows, and not eating the pretzels. Every year when I pull that one out of the ornament box, I smile and remember.

My mother made me a Victorian christmas stocking, topped with lace, ornamental beads and a clay angel. So pretty, I have it out all year. Happy Holidays!

The candy cane has always been my favorite ornament. Whenever I see a candy cane, I think of cool weather, fireplaces, hot chocolate and family fun decorating the Christmas tree.

It’s hard to describe just 1 ornament. Our tree is filled with keep sake ornaments that we add to each year. I have ornaments on my tree from when I was a growing up, ornaments from when my daughter was born 21 years ago, etc.

I guess if I had to pick 1 (well 2) it would be the santa and snowman ornaments that my aunt painted for me (My brother had an identical pair). We used to put one on our tree and the other on my grandparents tree and then the next year we traded them.

    Merry Christmas everyone.

Oh gosh, so many favorites. There’s a lovely little wooden house my friend made for me the year we bought our house. And a metal watering can my husband gave me, because I love to garden. But I guess I would choose our “mom and dad” ornament, which I bought the year my son was born. My husband and I used to give each other cards by Sandra Boyton with cats on them and this ornament has two cats that look a lot like hers, so it has a little extra meaning to me.

My favorite holiday decoration is a stuffed Santa. He ALWAYS graces the top of our tree. He’s starting to look a bit tattered, but I know he’s enjoyed his job over the last 30 years. I purchased him at an Easter Seal’s shop(where they employed handicapped people to make the ornaments) when I was a sophomore in college.

My favorite holiday decoration is our nativity set. It’s carved out of wood, there’s straw on the roof, and it just feels like a little piece of Bethlehem to me. :)

My favorite decorations are the stockings and other would be the snow globe with a picture of my nieces & nephew with Santa.

It’s truly hard to pick just one favorite ornament being that so many on our tree signify special moments in our lives… but one that I fondly unwrap and hang each year is a resin figure of a sleepy papa bear, dressed in pj’s and holding takeout boxes with the words “Dad-to-be” written on his top. It’s a little gift I had my husband unwrap at Christmas 14 years ago to let him know he was going to be a dad. I’ll never forget the look on his face!

My favorite ornaments are the goofy ones my children have made–mostly clumsily painted, if at all, or have glitter falling off on all sides, and a photo of them grinning from the middle of them. :)

  17. Amanda said:

My fave ornaments are the duper cheesy ones that my grandma had. They are all in glitter and made in some odd shapes like an ice cream cone

My favorite ornament is a Peter Pan and Tinkerbell one I have had since I was little. Peter Pan is flying and there is a tiny Tinkerbell suspended in front of him (by hanging from wire).

TINSEL I love Tinsel. It’s fun to fling around (so much better then snow), fun to put on a tree and fun to hide in a parent’s unsuspecting coffee cup come Christmas morning and they are too tired to notice that there’s no coffee in the cup. That trick worked 7 years in a row on my mom XD

    Hmmmm, my favorite ornament?

We lived in a country that did not celebrate Christmas when our children were younger. Trying to find ornaments was a real challenge!

We found some brass camel wind chimes, took them apart, added a hook and.. They turned out great and we still use them on the tree every year.

My favorite Christmas decoration is a pair of crystal evergreen trees a coworker gave me for my first Christmas in my new home. She knew I didn’t have much (the place was pretty empty) but those evergreens really brightened up the place.

    Thanks,

My favorite Christmas ornament is the one from my first Christmas. It’s a baby buggy and in it is a small baby and blanket. The blanket says Baby’s First Christmas and the year. It’s usually the first one I put on the tree from my ornament collection each year.

My favorite Christmas ornament WAS a burnt out car bulb that was ALWAYS the first ornament on the tree. It’s the only ornament that had been on all of our Christmas trees from our first one together. Unfortunately, one of my cats knocked it off & now I can’t find it! I think it may be under my stove, as it is the only place I haven’t looked.
    Thanks for the fantastic giveaway!
