After 20 years, Harlequin Temptation will no longer be published in North America after June 2005. For those who want to reminisce about past Temptations they’ve loved, this is the chat spot for you.

Temptations were the first category books I fell in love with as a reader (years before I was published). There’s so many I love…I’ll kick off the discussion by saying there’s an older Temptation (12 years ago?) written by Vicki Lewis Thompson that had a cat named Sex…I remember laughing so hard while reading it, tears would stream down my face. Okay, I’ll research that book and discover the title before this blog is over.
And here’s another: Moonlighting by Heather MacAllister(2000). I have more, but I’ll wait and jump in later with more of my faves, coco (Colleen)

Oooh, what a great discussion, Coco! I’m already tearing up at how fast the end is approaching.
My hands-down favorite Temptation ever was Night Wing by Lynn Michaels. It was a vampire romance, where the heroine fell in love by night with her mysterious, phantom lover, while during the day she was incredibly attracted to her dark, dangerous neighbor. Turns out they were the same man–he (Jonathan Raven) was a vampire and his soul had been separated from his body.
Wonderful book and I still reread it every now and again.
Probably my 2nd favorite ever is Pure Temptation by Vicki Lewis Thompson. Tess trying to lose her virginity with her six older brothers around playing protector.

And yes, BJ, Temptations reached their grand 20-year-anniversary in 2004 (or maybe it was 2005, but one of those years). In fact, I think Vicki Lewis Thompson wrote the 1,000 Temptation in the 20th-anniversary year. Sigh, I’ll miss this line.

I am going to miss the Temptation line very badly. They are my favorites! I love THE WRONG BED books. Hi Colleen! I’m looking forward to reading BUILDING A BAD BOY! I always look forward to reading your books. Thanks for the name of the VLT Temp. with the cat named SEX. *BG*

Good bye to temptation, Harlequin Temptation that is.
Vicki Lewis Thompson’s ‘Double Exposure’ is one great book. I think this sums it up: How could she have guessed that Harry was so irresistibly gorgeous. Or that the sex between them would be so absolutely incredible. Or that the man in her bed wasn’t Harry…
It’s hilarious and about twins ( I am one but we are male/female twins).

I can’t believe they are discontinuing the Temptation line; I have enjoyed these books for years. Two of my earliest favorites were ‘Easy Lovin’ and ‘A Dangerous Game’ in 1991, both by Candace Schuler. I have reread them more than once. I have many of the Temptation stories by various authors in my personal library and it would be very difficult to pick one favorite book or author. There were so many great ones! Looking forward to enjoying ‘Building a Bad Boy’.

It’s great reading everyone’s favorites. I have one from way back when, by Glenda Sanders, and I *think* the title was "Haunting Secrets." 1992. That’s the book I was reading when Birgit Davis-Todd, from Harlequin Temptation, called to say my story synopsis had placed second in a contest! I couldn’t believe Temptation was on the phone while I was reading a Temptation, and Birgit couldn’t believe I was reading a Temptation when she called. I love that memory.

It’s sad to see the Temptation line end. That is the series that got me interested in reading romance. But I’m glad to hear that some of the authors will be heading over to the Blaze line (my other favorite)and also the series (wrong bed) will also roll over to Blaze.

Elizabeth, Temptation was the line that got me reading romance, too. For those who don’t know, the Blaze line will be expanding from 4 to 6 a month, and many of the "Temptresses" will be there. coco

I had no idea that the line was ending until stumbling on to this page! I really hate to see it go but, I’m glad the Blaze line is being increased!! My husband was teasing me the other night and said if anything ever happened to my books that he would probley have to put me in rehab. He just doesn’t know how right he is!!
