Hi Sasha! Hi Danny!
I don’t know if they’d want to live there, but I’m sure at some point some folks would love to check out the big city after spending most of their lives in a small town. I’ve lived in both and enjoyed both.
Hi Ladies, I think I’m like you Danny. Most of my life has been in big cities, and I know when I settle it’ll be in a smaller place. I like the feel of them. I love the fact that people all know each other. But, I never grew up with everyone sticking their nosein my business, so I often wonder if people just want the opposite of what they grew up with?
I agree with you Sasha! Some people just want to know about what they don’t have. Although, I know there are extreme people who are dedicated city folk and others that would never consider stepping foot in a city. I would rather be in a small town…with a major metro area within an hour drive.
Sasha, that reminds me of living in Saratoga Springs, NY. It’s small and I knew everyone and everyone knew me. It was so wonderful. Makes you feel like the whole town is your friend. You feel a connection.
Personally I don’t want to live in a city. I like going to go visit my sister almost in Toronto but I find it to busy there. It’s kind of scary crossing 6 lanes of traffic.
I like to visit big cities, but I love living in the country. Less traffic, less people, less noise. I grew up in a fairly large city and commute 70 mile round trip to work there each day. That is plenty of city living for me! And Atlanta is only 70 miles away if I feel the need to experience the really big city life!
Living inthe small town with a mojor city within an hour or two sounds liekthe ultimate. I don’t thinkI coudl handle a city as loarge as Vancouver or Toronto for tooo long, yet when I was down in California, I founce that Anahiem and SanFran felt fairly comfortable to me. Again, not that I’d want to live there, but it wasn’t intimadating.
Yes, you are. OMG! Just last night I was telling my friend I would like to go check out northern Cali. I would not want to live in LA. I went to San. Fran. once but I didn’t really get to check it out much. I was stuck in Oakland with an abusive Marine.
I hate living in Newport. You have to drive an hour to get to a mall. I like to live close to stuff.
I was born and raised in a big city and am happy to live in Florida where the pace is slower. My husband was born and raised in the south and would probably hate living in a big city. I think he would enjoy a visit to see the sites but to live there full time would be difficult for him.

Hi Sasha,
I know that we me it’s exactly the other way around. I lived my whole life in a big city (Industrial area) and I would love to live in a smaller town.

I live in a small town in the South and I have lived in a big city in the North. I prefer small town living. It is less hectic.

I read a book a while ago where the heroine lived in the Florida Keys, and it described the atmosphere, laid back, artsy, I loved it!!!

The FL Keys are very laid back. But, check out the west coast if you visit FL. Sarasota, Siesta Key, and Venice. Awesome!
