Looooove Those Bad Boys…or alphas not asses!

by Dianne Castell

And, yes, there is a huge difference. What makes a hero an alpha hero? To me it’s a guy who does all the wrong things for all the right reasons. The stories that go… You can’t do that! And the hero says, just watch me.

Too often I read a hero who’s supposed to be an alpha hero and really what he is, is a jerk. It’s his way or the highway. I read these books and wonder why doesn’t the heroine just walk away!

Alphas protect those who need protecting no matter who or what gets in the way. (Rambo!) Alphas have a noble cause that they must champion no matter what laws or authorities say.

An alpha hero can wear a suit or a do-rag, be short or tall, old or young. They fight for the underdog and save the day.

In Texas Bad Boys we have John, Rod and Lance out to save the new gals in town who really don’t need all that much saving but are sure enjoying the efforts.

In I’ll Be Seeing U, Quaid is the local bad boy who bonds with the heroine’s brainack kid who’s not fitting in.
