Question #2
Have you ever been a critic for anything? Books? Movies? Food? If so, I want to hear about it cause I think it would be awesome. If not, what would you like to critique and why would you be good at it?

I’ve never been a critic before, but I would love to be a food critic and get paid to eat at restaurants.
I would also love to be a massage critic. (if there even is such a thing) I could get paid to visit different spas and get massages with different masseuses and then report about it.
What Not To Wear with Clinton and Stacey is one of my favorite shows. I love to watch them critique the fashion impaired/challenged. lol

Hi, Kim H! Oh, a sports critic — I’m impressed. My daughter plays soccer and basketball but I’m not nearly sports literate enough to be a critic. Wow. You rock!
Christie, hey, I want to sign up with you to be the spa/massage ciritc. Now THAT would be too awesome.
My daughter and I both love How Do I Look.
Danny, heck yeah, book reviewer counts! Do you review a wide range of books or do you stick with a particular genre?

I agree with Christie..what an awesome job that would be!
What I’d really like to do is movie reviews. I love movies, but usually have to wait until the make it to video to see all the ones I wanna see. Being paid to watch movies would be so kewl!

I would love to be a restaurant critic. Going to all different types of restaurants and having to sample a variety of all their foods sounds great.

Hi Jen,
I review every kind of romance genre, but I would also love to review fantasy novels

The only reviews I have done were book reviews - only a handful on amazon.
I wouldnt mind being a restaurant critic either since I love to eat.

I used to work for a literary magazine which eventually expanded to be an all around arts magazine, I used to critique books, music, poetry, movies, etc. It was fun because I would be forced to go into details about why I liked or didn’t like something.
While I would love to be a restaurant critic, I think all that eating out would go straight to my hips.

No, I havent done reviews but maybe would love to do some for books or movies as I love both.

When I was in HS I wrote on the school paper and we had a area were we could review anything: a book, a movie, a restaurant, a car to buy, a place to vacation, a place to shop etc.
I loved to review music because I have really eclectic tastes…. and besides reading, listening to music is my favorite and most relaxing pass time.

Angie T, reivewing movies would be more my husband’s forte than mine. I watch a few now and then–and I loved Casino Royale so much that I went and saw it twice–but he’s the big movie buff in our house.
Maureen and Pat L, I’m with you on the food critic idea. I’m definitely a foodie.
Danny, that’s great that you’re getting to do something you enjoy. Maybe you’ll get to start reviewing those fantasy novels. They’re certainly pretty hot right now.
Karen T, the synopsis part of the review would be a problem for me when it comes to books and movies. Even after all these years as a professional writer, I’m not as good as I’d like to be at doing those.
Laurie G, reviewing music is a great idea. I hadn’t thought of that. And I’m a huge Dave Matthews fan, so….

I have never been a critic either but would love to be one for bed and breakfasts. It would be fun to travel to different bed and breakfasts and give an opinion about the service.

I would love to be a movie critic since I watch movies when I’m not reading. I recently wrote a review for a book I read Leadville Lady for Amazon and Barnes and Noble. It’s a great way to give insight to people who haven’t read the book yet. Also can help you decide if you want to buy that book or not.

I would either like to be a food, book, or destination critic
I would love to travel, see knew places, taste lots of different foods, and of course read books before anyone else can get them

A food critic would be right up my alley. This would allow for one to travel, sight see and have a love affair with food.

I have done some book reviews, mostly at my blog… but more so talking about what I read but too how it gets to me emotionally… How I feel about the book, more so than what the book is about, because I think we can find that anywhere!
Too, I’d love to be a NASCAR… racing critic. I’m pretty good at knowing the drivers and their team info. I grew up with watching racing so I really always been into it and when visiting my family, its always a great discussion anytime with them. So it makes me too look forward to the NASCAR harlequin books. I have to find some Blaze books or ask for some with the racing theme…unless I missed that?
Great topic!!
