I would have to say it’s seeing the final product before, during and after the job is complete. Anything that I can see come to fruition moves something in me and the pride I feel in my work keeps me going.
My family is my biggest motivator. With health issues, it is so easy to just crawl inside yourself, but the love of my family definitely inspires me to be as productive as I can, and I take great joy in bringing happiness to the people I love.
My Mom was just diagnosed with breast cancer - today we find out what they found in the MRI.
Needless to say, this has been a shock and a real “sit-back-and-take-stock” moment.
So in answer to your question: “What inspires you to do what you do?” I’m sitting here and thinking to myself: What AM I doing that makes a difference in life and/or really matters? Sometimes I get so caught up in everyday life and in doing what has to be done, that I forget to take time for others (or even myself).
I am a stay at home mom for 2 little ones under the age of 4 and I have to say my kids are what motiivate me to continue. I love seeing them grow and develop. My mother was always there for my sister, my brother and me by being a stay at home mother. I am happy that we can afford to have me be able to stay home with our kids.
My belief that everyone can make a difference! The pursuit of happiness is definitely a primary goal, but my helping others through volunteering helps me achieve this feeling of happiness.
When my daughter was 2 years old (she’s now 24), my family was lucky enough to live next door to the most wonderful lady. She showed me how it’s the little things, that don’t have to take a lot of time, that can make a difference. For example she would: bake cookies for neighbors, spend time with people who had an illness, bring small bouquets of her flowers over as a day brightener from her garden, always had a huge smile for everyone, she listened, volunteered EVERYWHERE! We only lived next to her for a year but she definitely influenced me, how I approach life and spend my time each day.

I like to make people happy and often doing what I do leaves people with a smile on their faces.

The enjoyment I get out of doing it and doing it well (at least eventually) is what motivates me best.

All very good things. And things that make writing so enjoyable too!

My family inspires me to what I do. They are my support system.
